Shadow Warrior Playthrough – Shareware Episode, Level 1

Published on March 3rd, 201025 comment

This is my playthrough of the game Shadow Warrior, created by 3D Realms. The game’s main character, Lo Wang, has to fight his way through Zilla’s forces, and eventually confront him at the end of the game. Here I go and get every kill (save for some levels, which may be impossible) and every secret throughout the entire game. Due to me recording on dosbox, the CD Audio is not included in the recording, so I had to painstakingly put the CD music into the audio track for the video. This is the first level of the game, Seppuku Station.

MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS Mobile communication is the application of wireless technology in the access network. It offers many useful features, • Easy installation for rapid deployment out • Proven platform with the scalability • Ready for the future • Reliable and secure • Mobility This is a very rapid growth of telecommunications and the service was revolutionized popular. It has become a backbone for business success and efficiency. It connects subscribers to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) using radio signals as a substitute for copper. that allows any organization to communicate with anyone while in motion. Technologies emerged different for different types of requirements for coverage, capacity, mobility, bandwidth. GSM CDMA CorDECT PHS AMPS, DAMPS EVOLUTION OF MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS: – First Generation (1G) analog cellular: – The introduction of cellular systems in the late 1970s and early 1980s represented a quantum leap in mobile communications (especially in capacity and mobility). Semiconductor technology and microprocessors made smaller and lighter weight and more sophisticated mobile systems a practical reality for many more users. These 1G cellular systems still transmit only analog voice information. The most prominent 1G systems are analog mobile phone system (AMPS), Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT) and Total Access Communication Systems (TAC). With the introduction of the 1G mobile, the mobile phone market registered annual growth rates of 30 to 50 percent, reaching nearly 20 million subscribers in 1990. Second generation (2G): MOBILE DIGITAL SYSTEMS: – The development of 2G cellular systems was driven by the need for improved transmission quality, system capacity and coverage. Other advances in semiconductor technology and microwave devices brought digital transmission in mobile communications. sppech transmission still dominates the airways, but the demands for fax, short messages and data are growing rapidly. Other services, such as fraud prevention and encryption of user data have become standard features that are compatible with those of fixed networks. 2G cellular systems GSM, Digital AMPS (D-AMPS), CDMA and digital personal communication. Today, multiple 1G and 2G standards are used worldwide in mobile communications. Different standards serve different applications with different levels of mobility, capacity and service area standards are used only in one country or region and most are compatible. 2G to 3G GSM: Evolution: – Phase 1 of the standardization of GSM 900MHz band was completed by the European Telecommunication Standard Institute (ETSI) in 1990 and includes all the definitions necessary for the operation of the GSM network. Several telecommunications services and bearer services have been defined (including data transmission upto 9. 6kbps), but only some very basic additional services offered. As a result, GSM standards were strengthened in Phase 2 (1995) to incorporate a variety of complementary services that are compatible with digital fixed network integrated services digital network (ISDN) standards. In 1996, ETSI decided to further enhance GSM in annual Phase 2 + releases that incorporate 3G capabilities. LIMITATIONS ON 1G and 2G systems: – • No global standards • There is no common frequency band • information bit rates low • Poor voice quality • No video support • The various types of systems to meet the specific needs of The figure shows the architecture of GSM. International Mobile Telecommunications 2000: – IMT: “A future standard in which a single mobile terminal can really deliver low-cost communications anytime, anywhere. The main features of 3G systems, known collectively as IMT-2000 is a single family of compatible standards that have the following characteristics • Used worldwide • Used for all mobile applications • Support packages Witched (PS) and circuit switched (CS) data transmission • Provide high data transfer rate of 2Mbps. • Offer high spectrum efficiency Standards IMT has made 17 proposals to meet the requirements of 2G systems. The most important of IMT-2000 are the proposed UMTS (W-CDMA) as the successor of GSM, CDMA, the interim standard 95 (IS 95) and the successor of synchronous time division (TD-SCDMA), Universal WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS-136 (UWC 136 / EDGE), as a basis for improvements DAMPS TDMA / GSM all the main standards that are pre - ultimate goal of IMT 2000. The objectives of the services provided in 3G systems IMT 200 is shown in the figure of the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) is the current standard of mobile telephony worldwide with more success. Recent figures indicate that GSM has over 100 million subscribers in 120 countries and attracts over five million new users each month. There are nearly 300 GSM operators worldwide. The current wireless and mobile systems, despite its evolution, are still constrained in terms of data rate that can offer and its flexibility to handle complex, yet easy to use multimedia services. This need arises the opportunity for mobile, computing, consumer electronics and communities to provide users with a mobile system capable of managing and providing a much wider range of information services to the mass market. Elements of this opportunity include: • An entire industry and government commitment throughout the world; • A coordinated program, including the spectrum, standards, and technology, and • Synergy of communications, IT, media operations and to provide global opportunities for businesses and consumers, while creating new ways of doing business, entertainment and information. A new mobile system for use throughout the world is preparing to upgrade and replace existing systems. The Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) will be a better digital communications system that will provide universal communications to anyone, regardless of their whereabouts. UMTS will allow wireless Internet access, videoconferencing and other applications bandwidth. The benefits of this new wireless communications system is expected to be: • Support for mobile and fixed telecommunications services available for up to 2 Mb / s; • Support unique mobile services such as navigation, vehicle tracking and road traffic information, which will become increasingly important in the world market; • The ability to allow the use of multi-terminal system environments – home, office, and in public environments, both rural and urban centers, and • Provision of a range of mobile handsets – from low-cost phone cash to sophisticated terminals to provide advanced video and data services. Universal Mobile Telecommunications Systems (UMTS): – INTRODUCTION: – In January 1998 the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) decided in a single air interface standard for the proposed Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS). The system is a major new systems of third generation phones are developed within the framework defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and is known as IMT-2000. UMTS has been the subject of intense worldwide efforts in research and development in the last decade. The system has the support of many telecom operators and manufacturers because it represents a unique opportunity to create a mass market for highly personalized and easy mobile access to the information society of today easy. The system seeks to consolidate and expand the capacity of current mobile, wireless, and satellite technologies by providing increased capacity and data capability and a greater variety of services using an innovative radio access system and an improvement, the evolving core network. The system will be a member of a new family of mobile telecommunication systems is being developed by the ITU for worldwide deployment. While the use of different frequencies in different countries, each system will offer the same set of features for users. This will allow to develop phones that are portable from one country as the user travels. The main difference between this system and previous systems mobile (wireless), such as GSM, is that previous systems were conceptually separated from the fixed line (cable) telephone network. The aim of this system is the integration of wireline and wireless systems to deliver a universal communications service, so that a user can move from one place to another, while maintaining access to the sum of a set of services. The system is designed to allow users to send and receive data with bandwidths much higher than the GSM system support today. While in motion, users can access remote systems at speeds up to 144kbps. When fixed connections to 2Mbp / s will be made through wireless networks, with much better performance if possible to connect the phone to a wall socket. ETSI has chosen aggressive timelines for the introduction of UMTS in order to meet customer demands. The target date for introduction has been set as the year 2002. The figure shows the architecture of UMTS. To meet the deadline, ETSI is following a phased approach in the hope of enabling the ability to improve with time after the initial introduction of the system. At launch, terrestrial UMTS will have the capability of the types of data up to 2 Mb / s. However, UMTS is designed as an open system enabling the evolution to incorporate new technologies as they become standardized. UMTS critical technologies: – Some of the key technologies critical to the successful introduction of UMTS are described below: 1) UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA): – ETSI’s decision in January 1998 on radio access technology combines two technologies for UMTS. The W-CDMA spectrum bands in pairs and TD-CDMA in the unpaired band ². The idea was to develop a common standard to ensure an optimal solution for all operating environments and service needs. The capacity of UTRA transmission speed will provide at least 144 Kbit / s for full mobility applications in all environments, 384 Kb / s for limited mobility applications in macro and micro cellular environments, and 2. 048 Mb / s for low mobility applications, particularly in micro-cellular environments. The 2. 048 Mb / s speed may also be available for short-range applications or packet in the macro-cellular environment, depending on deployment strategies, radio network planning and spectrum availability. 2) Multi-mode second-generation / UMTS terminals: – UMTS terminals existing in a world of multiple standards that allow operators to offer maximum capacity and coverage of its user base by combining with the rules ULTRA second generation or third parties. Therefore, terminal operators are able to interact with the legacy of infrastructure such as GSM/DCS2800 and DECT, and other second-generation standards worldwide (such as those based on the U.S. AMPS standard .) because they may initially have more complete coverage of UMTS. Many UMTS terminals therefore be multi-band and multi-mode. Terminal Construction at a cost that is comparable to the current way of a single, second-generation terminals will be possible thanks to technological advances in semiconductor integration, the architecture of the radio, radio and software. 3) Satellite System: – In the initial service launch in 2002, the satellite component of UMTS will be able to provide a global coverage capability. Implementation plans call for using S-band Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) frequency allocations identified for IMT-2000 and provide satellite services compatible with UMTS Terrestrial. 4) SIM Cards / Smart Cards: – Introduced GSM Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or smart cards. SIM technology incorporates enhanced security and a degree of user customization for the mobile terminal. SIM requirements, security algorithms, silicon and card IC technology continue to evolve to and during the deployment of UMTS. The smart card industry is expected to be able to offer cards with greater memory capacity, CPU performance faster, contactless operation, and enhanced encryption capabilities. These advances will enable the UMTS Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) to add the package of UMTS services by providing portable high-security data storage and transmission of the users. In addition, users will be able to store, down or upload images, signatures, personal files, fingerprints or other biometric data through the card. Contactless cards allow users to perform business transactions such as electronic commerce or electronic ticketing without having to be removed from a wallet or phone. Electronic commerce and banking, the use of smart cards is expected to be widespread. Users expect and be able to use their cards at any terminal through any network. New memory technologies can be expected to increase the size of the memory card to the larger programs and data storage possible. Several applications and service providers could be accommodated on one card. In theory, users can decide what applications / services they want on their cards, much as they do the hard drives of their desktop computers. 5) Internet Protocol (IP) Compatibility: – UMTS is a modular concept that takes advantage of the trend towards convergence of fixed and mobile networks and services, enabling a range of new applications. For example, a laptop with integrated UMTS communications module becomes a general-purpose communication and computing device for access to broadband Internet, voice, video telephony and conferences, whether mobile, office or residential use. UMTS and can become the most flexible technology available broadband access, allowing a mobile office and residential use in a wide range of public and non-public networks. The system can support both IP and non IP traffic in a variety of ways, including circuit and packet switched virtual circuits ². UMTS will be able to benefit from parallel work by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) that is extending its basic set of intellectual property standards for mobile communication. New developments such as IP version 6 allows parameters such as service quality, bit rate, and bit error rate (BER), vital for mobile operation, which will be set by the operator or service provider. The evolving structure of domain names are also underway. These new structures will increase the usability and flexibility of the system, providing only that each user is independent of the terminal application or location. 6) cross-platform interoperability: – The need for transport capacity of multimedia content on different types of networks requiring industry to develop the interoperability of the platform because the properties of the networks may have an effect on the content of the transmission. In many cases, different types of cascading several networks (ie Ethernet, ATM, X. 25 and UMTS). 7) API and toolbox development: – It is expected that the rapid development and deployment of innovative new services will drive the market for UMTS. A key element in this area will be the standardization of the UMTS application programming interface (API). API allows the abstraction of the terminal and the network. It will also provide a generic way for applications to access terminals and networks. The API will allow the same application to be used in a wide variety of terminals and will also provide a common method of networking applications to UMTS networks. The API support for security, billing, subscriber information, service management, call management, management of SIM user interaction and content translation. API is expected to build upon and extend existing technologies (ie Java, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), SIM Toolkit and Internet technologies) that exploit the convergence with other emerging technologies for consumer products (such as digital TVs ). 8) client / server architecture: – One of the main factors for UMTS is the differentiation of services. UMTS enables network operators to market products based on more than the coverage and capacity problems. The key to this benefit is the ability to develop and introduce new products and features in short time scales, without changes to the infrastructure providers. The figure shows the client-server architecture of UMTS. Many new developments in the IT industry are based on a client / server technology, which allows intelligence to be transparently downloaded from a server on the user’s terminal. The technology provides direct and immediate interaction with the user high performance and interpretation. Moreover, the tasks that must remain centralized, such as residence database are stored on central servers waiting quickly and efficiently respond to customer questions. However, in the mobile industry, intelligent terminals and the USIM allow customization of the user interface and providing features not possible with client terminals based on today’s network server. As roaming traffic continues to increase, the ability to provide such features, regardless of the service network will be increasingly important. Existing and evolving standards of GSM, SIM Toolkit and mobile execution environment, along with other initiatives such as WAP, provide the framework for the supply of the highest client server approach. The user of an object-oriented language like Java is attractive because it is platform and operating system independent, and optimizes the download. 9) Customer service and billing systems – UMTS will operate in an environment very different from today’s mobile systems. Customer service and billing are inextricably linked. These systems must be able to operate effectively with all users and suppliers of UMTS in a customer friendly way. For UMTS, a bill is no longer just a dun but instead a key part of a highly sophisticated approach to customer care in all services of the provider. Convergence does not only require the interoperation of fixed, mobile satellite systems, private and public, but also the integration of players from the fields of telecommunications, such as finance, entertainment and media. This will require a harmonized solution for customer care and billing systems despite the very different inheritance practices. The competitive market for services that demand flexible multiple interconnections between players and roles. Seamless delivery will require a unification of management and a means to facilitate interoperability without a previous relationship. Significantly higher levels of automation and timeliness will be needed to support operations and customer billing. In addition, fraud management will be implemented throughout the value chain. Pricing and billing will mature as concepts and practices. UMTS BENEFITS: What gives?: – Corporate use of UMTS (including global mobile access to Intranets) will be a key factor for UMTS. Companies require more flexibility for customization and control over decentralized services that optimize productivity and operational efficiency of corporate networks. UMTS subscriber and network management capabilities will provide increased capacity to meet these new and changing needs. The body of literature indicates that the UMTS technology offers promise as a breakthrough in mobile communications technology. UMTS is being designed to ensure flexibility is presented to users, network operators and service developers. UMTS will offer significant benefits in communication skills, including: • Ease of use and low cost; • New and better services; • The packet transmission and data rates on demand; • Improving mobility and coverage. 1) Ease of use and low cost: – Wireless customers want services useful, easy to use terminals and good value for money, UMTS is expected to provide services that are easy to use and customizable to meet individual needs and preferences of the user . Terminals and measuring equipment will be available from other to facilitate access to these services. A wide range of low cost terminals available and the periphery have others. The cash costs for the UMTS service is projected to be low enough to ensure a mass market and competition from suppliers. 2) New and better services – market surveys show that the voice will remain the dominant service for networks of fixed and mobile telephony, including GSM, through 2005. Users demand low cost, high quality service UMTS voice. However, the opportunity to increase revenue through UMTS is to offer advanced data and information services. In the longer term, forecasts for the industry to show a strong basis for UMTS subscriber growth and Multimedia in 2010. 3) Quick links: – One of the factors, which clearly states UMTS systems over second-generation phones, is its potential to support 2Mb / s data rates for users from the beginning. This capability, coupled with the inherent Internet Protocol (IP) of UMTS, is a powerful combination to deliver interactive multimedia services, as well as new broadband applications such as video conferencing and video telephony. As demand for data rates of users increases in the longer term, UMTS will be developed to support data rates even higher, perhaps one or two orders of magnitude larger. In later stages of the development of UMTS, there will be convergence systems even higher rate of data through mobile Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) technology (microwave or infrared) to provide data rates of eg 155 Mb / s in environments interiors. 4) packet transmission and data rate on demand. “Most cellular systems in use today use circuit switching technology for wireless data transmission. However, UMTS integrates packet and circuit data transmission. Data packets over the air gives the user several advantages: • virtual network connectivity at all times; • Alternative forms of billing. For example, pay-per-bit, per session or the flat rate per month and • asymmetric bandwidth in the uplink and downlink. As demanded by many emerging data services in an address link leads to simple commands and the other carries and rich content, traffic bandwidth intensive (eg Internet browsing or video transmission). UMTS is also designed to offer data rate on demand, where the network reacts flexibly to the demands of a user based on their profiles and the current state of the network. The use of packet-oriented transport protocols like Internet Protocol (IP) for UMTS is being studied now. The combination of speed packet data and data on the demand elimination of technical barriers to the user and make operation of the system much cheaper. In short, no need for concern about how and when to connect to the network. UMTS services are based on standard service capabilities that are common across all users of UMTS and radio environments. This means that the user will experience a consistent set of services even if he or she wanders from its network to other UMTS operators. Users will find the same interface, whether in your home network or roaming. Virtual Family environment (VHE) carry out the delivery of the total environment of the service provider, for example, the virtual work environment of a corporate user, regardless of the location of the user or the access mode (satellite or terrestrial). VHE also enable terminals to negotiate with the functionality of the visited network, possibly even downloading software so as to provide “at home” services. The ultimate goal is that all networks, signaling, connection, registration and any other technology should be transparent to the user so that mobile multimedia services are simple, easy to use and effective. The mobility and coverage: – UMTS has been designed from the outset to be a global system, which includes both the national terrestrial and satellite components worldwide. Through several operating modes, several band terminal can use the 2nd generation systems to expand its coverage of basic services. The overall objective of the system is to offer a true personal communication through terminals that are able to roam from a wireless network or private fixed (Figure 1). A second objective is to achieve this with a consistent delivery of services through HEV. Figure 1. UMTS coverage is universal (Leino, 1999). The system of UMTS radio access ULTRA support the operation with high spectral efficiency and service quality in all physical environments in which mobile and wireless communication to take place. Today’s users live in a multi-dimensional world, moving between indoor, outdoor urban and rural outdoors with a degree of mobility ranging from stationary through pedestrian up to very high speeds of vehicles. There are also different density environments of users, including three-dimensional situations in high rise buildings. ULTRA has been specified for all environments. UMTS technology limitations: – In practical implementations of UMTS, some users may not have access to the highest data rates at all times. For example, the physical limitations of radio propagation and the economics of operating a service means that the system can only support low data rates in congested areas or very remote. Therefore, in order to ensure that the subscriber is always able to use their handsets, services will be adaptive to different data availability rate and quality of other service parameters. In the early stages of UMTS deployment, traffic, probably will be generated mainly in places such as airports and railway stations to which operators run immediately after the launch of the network. However, users want full coverage so they can access their services wherever they are. To provide this, UMTS is being defined to allow roaming on other networks. For example, a GSM system operated by the same operator or by roaming agreements with other networks, like other GSM-based systems or other third-generation UMTS systems, including satellite networks compatible, which effectively will be able to provide global coverage. The limitations are,
